The Significance of Baptism and Communion in Christianity

Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and symbolizes the believer’s identification with Him in His death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4). Communion, also known as the Lord’s Supper, is a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and a celebration of the new covenant in His blood (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). Both baptism and communion are important practices in the life of a Christian and serve as visible signs of spiritual truths.
