Romans 13:1-7 states that Christians are called to submit to governing authorities as they are established by God to serve for the good of society. This includes obeying laws and paying taxes. It is important for Christians to respect and obey the laws of the government, unless those laws go against the teachings of God. Christians are called to be good citizens and to pray for those in authority (1 Timothy 2:1-4).
