The Church’s Role in Supporting the Unemployed

The church has a role in supporting the unemployed by providing practical assistance such as food, clothing, and financial aid, as well as emotional and spiritual support through prayer, counseling, and encouragement. The Bible encourages us to care for those in need, including the unemployed, as seen in passages like James 2:15-16 “Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?”
