This includes visiting them, offering transportation to church and medical appointments, helping with household chores, and providing companionship and social activities. In doing so, the church can embody the teachings of Jesus in Matthew 25:40, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
