The Church’s Role in Supporting the Despised

The role of the church in supporting the despised is to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, who showed love and compassion to all, including the outcasts and marginalized in society. The church is called to be a place of refuge, acceptance, and support for those who are despised or rejected by the world.

Scripture reference: Luke 4:18-19 – “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
