Supporting the Unemployed: A Call to Action

The church should provide practical support, such as offering guidance on job searching, resume building, and networking opportunities. They can also offer emotional support, encouragement, and prayer for those who are unemployed. Additionally, the church can help meet basic needs through food assistance, financial aid, and connecting individuals with local resources. James 2:15-16 – “If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace, be warmed and filled,’ without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?”
