Romans 13:1-2 states, “Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.”
Christians believe in following and respecting governmental authorities and laws, as long as they do not contradict the teachings of the Bible. They understand the importance of living in obedience to the laws of the land as a way to honor God and contribute to a peaceful society.
