Christian responses to epidemics and pandemics throughout history have included caring for the sick and vulnerable, providing medical aid and resources, praying for healing and protection, and promoting love, compassion, and unity within communities. The Bible encourages Christians to love their neighbors as themselves (Mark 12:31) and to care for the sick and needy (Matthew 25:35-36).
